PROPERTIES
Amylase
Decomposes carbohydrates such as starch and glycogen, and polysaccharides and it becomes smaller units that can be absorbed in the intestine. The deficiency in animals
can suffer osmotic diarrhea, due to the high concentration of undigested starch in the colon.
Lipase
Lipase participates with the bile in the process of digestion and decomposition of fatty molecules, allowing intestinal absorption of them.
Its deficiency causes digestion deficiency and deficiency absorption of fats. As a result of that, also there are deficiency absorption of fat soluble vitamins.
Protease
Decomposes proteins, enabling absorption. They also help keep the free pathogens such as parasites, protozoa, bacteria and yeast, and supports immune function.
Its deficiency causes incomplete digestion of proteins leading to alterations by lack of protein, favors the emergence of allergies and toxic substances and increases the risk of
intestinal infections.
Cellulase
Breaks cellulose and chitin and becomes free glucose, allowing digestion of the fiber in foods. Celluloses consumption can also help decrease the viscosity accelerating
intestinal digestion.
Lactase
Decomposes lactose (milk sugar) and its action is essential in the process of converting lactose, glucose and galactose in its components.
Fructoligosaccharides 90% inulin
It has a prebiotic activity as it promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms for health (Bifidobacterium).
It promotes bowel movements, regulating the intestinal transit.
Improves absorption of calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus.
Enzymes are not only responsible for the digestive process. They also have analgesic effect in soft tissue trauma.
Enzymes play a major role in maintaining the health and functioning.
It is important to consider the use of enzymes as support for chronic skin diseases, because often present with malabsorption problems.
INDICATIONS
Added to the usual diet, helps in better assimilation of food being especially beneficial in nursing homes or affected animals with digestive problems such as:
– Halitosis.
– Diarrhea.
– Exocrine Pancreatitis.
– Pancreatic insufficiency
– Deficiency absorption syndrome.
– Chronic skin diseases (often occur in poor absorption processes).
– Flatulence
– Coprophagia.
In deficiency absorption syndrome we recommend soft food mixed half an hour before intake. The dose may be gradually increased until the desired effect.
